There are individuals trying to rent homes, Apartments and other rental properties they do not own or manage. Many of times these homes are listed, by the scammer, on Craig's List and other Social Media Sites. Please make sure that you do your research, of the company or individual, before sending any money for deposit or 1st month's rent. Most, if not all, legitimate businesses can be found on the Better Business Bureau or Google the person or company to find out more information about them. Most legitimate property management companies will NOT ask for money to be put down for any reason until they have an approved application for the property you have applied for. Please Do Not be a victim of this scam. Do your research and have peace of mind.
